The Batmobile was introduced into the Corgi range after the popularity of the 1966 Batman TV series starring Adam West (as Batman) and Burt Ward (as Robin). With a wealth of features – notably a triple rocket launcher armed with small plastic missiles, a front-mounted pop-out chain cutter and a turbo exhaust flame that pulsed in and out – the model was an instant success and has since achieved legendary status among collectors.

This Corgi Model Club edition marks the first time the Corgi Batmobile has been in production for many years – a heavy die-cast metal replica of the iconic late-1960s tooling, with all of the original's features. We’ve also given it the much sought after gold wheels with red bat logos, plus Batman and Robin figures – Batman in grey as per the original issue. These details mean a lot to us here at the Corgi Model Club, as we’re sure they do to you too!

The Batmobile comes complete with its late 1960s-era packaging – a classic illustrated Corgi picture box that houses the model sitting on a plinth with decorative winged sides and back – a beautifully created facsimile of the original.  Within the base are twelve small missiles for the fully working rocket launcher, plus an envelope containing an instruction sheet as well as that all important Batman lapel sticker!

Time to update

It is great to see the bat mobile back as I remember it as a kid but surely now is the time to make additions that bring it up to date with the car featured in the TV series. First by replacing the windscreen with a clear one as it never had a blue one in the TV series and secondly why can't you add the red pinstripes that feature in the TV version. Other toy manufacturers have managed it. Even consider putting the parachute holders on the rear would be a good addition.

Wunderschön gemachte Replik des Originals. Sogar besser im Finish. Leider hält das Zubehör nicht dieses Level. Das Abziehbild ist aus Papier statt Textil wie das Original und die Kunststoffraketen sind zu dünn und zu lang. Ansonsten 10 von 10 Punkten.

Batmobile, prachtige reproductie van het origineel.

Wat een prachtige heruitgave van de Corgi Batmobile 267. Op 17 juni heb ik in een pre-order geplaatst en in de eerste week van oktober ontving ik het model uit mijn jeugd. In 1966 kreeg ik voor mijn 7e verjaardag de Batmobile en nu, na al die jaren, zijn het de mooie herinneringen die je doen herbeleven.
Het model is goed verpakt verzonden en zonder beschadigingen ontvangen. De replica is vergeleken met het origineel bijzonder geslaagd! Vakmanschap door Corgi Model Club. Zeker een aanrader voor liefhebbers van speelgoed uit hun jeugd.
