490 - Volkswagen Breakdown Truck

Available on its own (as Corgi 490) or as part of the GS36, GS37 and GS12 gift sets, the VW Breakdown Truck utilised tooling from the earlier VW Pick-up (Corgi 431) but without that model’s rear tail-gate. For the Breakdown Truck, the tail-gate was replaced by a winch and hook which was operated by turning a rubber tyre included as part of a clever mechanism.

The rear of the model was given a red plastic moulded tool box (with an integral hinged lid that opened to reveal a set of chrome painted tools) and a pair of spare tyres.The VW Breakdown Truck was available in mustard, tan and white – all variants featuring a red painted VW logo. As part of the gift sets, it came with a matching car trailer which was unavailable separately.

Admiratif concernant tous les details presents sur ce petit camion de depannage,cela devient un modele educatif ,manque plus que le garagiste surveillant le bon accrochage du vehicule remorqué! BRAVO pour sa conception, c'est un modele TRES ATTACHANT !!!
