1126 - Ecurie Ecosse Racing Car Transporter Pale Blue Edition

£74.99

The metallic pale blue edition of the Corgi Ecurie Ecosse Racing Car Transporter has always been something of an anomaly in that the actual vehicle was in dark blue. What inspired Corgi to produce a startlingly different version of such a famous vehicle is unknown – but the authentic metallic dark blue variant came first, in October 1961.

The pale blue one, which is now highly collectible, was introduced by Corgi in 1965 and has the same working features as it’s dark blue counterpart. It also shares the same 1126 Corgi catalogue number. Three pale blue variations exist – with pale yellow, tan and red interiors. All feature red Ecurie Ecosse lettering on both sides and in a change from the dark blue version have silver painted treads on the ramps. All Corgi 1126 models (of both colours) come in a lift off lid box.
