VOLVO P.1800 - THE "SAINT'S" CAR

This is the second car received after paint quality issues on the first one received. Many thanks to the club team for sending a replacement.

Although considerably better than the first one, the paint application could still have been better but still what should I really expect?

A passable replica as modern produced items go (from a distance) but they don't really stand up to close scrutiny.

Judging by my experience so far I'm not going to continue with this series. The cost of these models is, unfortunately, far too steep for what they are.

This was a replacement model, the first having been fitted with poor quality wheels (dished wheels with no shape & were just dull unpolished - unlike others Ive seen, & scratching of the paint around the front lights!
The replacement had the same wheels, but this time there was a chip on the roof that had been badly touched in?? Please do something about your quality control- collectors want quality models! This is my third model, the Bentley was excellent, apart from the box which was crushed (I accepted this as it was the first model) but then came the bmc mini which had a cracked screen & a couple of paint chips around one side window! I sent pictures of these issues & was kindly sent a replacement ! The problem is, I can’t keep asking for a replacement, so please try & address this problem, as it will stop people from becoming members of an otherwise fantastic club with an excellent collection & customer service!!

La P1800 è l’ultima, splendida granturismo prodotta da Volvo, dal 1961 al 1973.....anche Simon Templar (Roger Moore) sarebbe sicuramente rimasto entusiasta dalla realizzazione di questo modellino.

Almost unbelievable, how detailed and immaculate this model car comes along. The only visible difference (apart from differences of the box) to original is the slightly more sophisticated and finelined Saint sticker on the bonnet. Btw: the more shiny surface of the box is valuated positive, because it is not so sensitive ahainst greasy fingers ;-)
