Why didn't Corgi offer us this set before we'd all bought the items separately over the past 18 months ? Most of us have the Batmobile(s) and the boat, so to ask us do we want to buy the same items but in a set is a bit of a p**s take in my opinion. I know there are some diehard collectors who will want this set, but for a lot of people money is tight at the moment, the asking price is a joke too !
It would be nice to have the option to purchase just the box so that I can display my CMC Batmobile and boat together in packaging. I don't have the funds to run to a shop price iteration of the Batmobile, having bought two already.
When I see a negative review of Corgi I ask myself why ? , because to me besides making wonderful models , and recreating many good childhood memories, for me anyway, Corgi is a business, and as a business you need to make profit in order to invest and grow , now for those who remember back in the day , Corgi made many of the same models in different colours etc , because they have the moulds to do so , again making maximum use of that particular model , then they produced model sets etc , and this is what they are doing today, I’m very happy that they are making the models again, because the new Batmobile and Batboat with trailer for just under £90 including delivery is a bargain compared to an original 1967 one , if you could find one , it definitely wouldn’t be brand new , and if it were it would be a ridiculous amount of money, Corgi are doing an amazing job I think, and nobody has to buy them , but I think more thought should be used before being negative, I will always be a fan , and a true collector, so anything Corgi to me is an absolute pleasure and I am looking forward to the coming years to see what they have planned.
WOW - the arrogance of this outfit. Too much duplication of models with minor changes to paint jobs , too much ' fear of missng out ' nonsense. You have lost this loyal club member. It really is starting to feel like a rip-off.
