That was the slogan around 1960, when I was a boy and policemen in Volkswagen 'Beetles' patrol cars were a common sight all over Holland and Germany. I already owned Corgi's Dutch version, so when the opportunity arose to own the German version as well, I found it too hard to resist. So now I've got two beautiful models of police 'Beetles' in the right livery, and let me assure you, they do bring back memories!
All the models are beautiful and carefully constructed. However I miss an option. If only one door could be opened, it's perfect :)
...where my motorways were the banded soft rugs of my living room and my zephyr ran over a red Alfa Romeo Giulia...good remake of my original model lost years ago. Love it. It is a shame that young people don't know these cars and the traditional british automotive.
Although I like the models with the streamlined headlights even better, this is an epic design by Citroen. In The Netherlands it became known under the nickname: Snoek (pike) which was aptly chosen, I think.
