Produced between 1957 and 1965, Corgi 302 was available in red, cream or metallic green. With a simple casting – typical of early Corgi Toys – it was nevertheless given a detailed interior, a rudimentary clear plastic windscreen and silver painted headlights, grille and bumpers.

Only the third sports car that Corgi ever produced, it followed the earlier Austin Healey (Corgi 300) and Triumph TR2 (Corgi 301) – both introduced the previous year. Over the course of the MGA’s long production life it came in two distinct Corgi boxes – initially an early all-blue design and latterly the more familiar 60s yellow and blue design. Over 630,000 were sold before the MGA’s ageing casting was finally retired in 1965.

The MG A Sports Car

A beautiful model of the iconic sports car.
Of corse, it is a replica of the original Corgi model of the late fiftys. The casting is for his age very nice !!!
I never bought it when I was a child, because I didn't like the windschield (out of proportion).
Now that I have it, I will bring the windshield to a better standard..
Thank you CMC for bringing the oldies back to live.
Hope you ever will bring out the Riley Pathfinder …....

I resisted for a long time but finally succumbed, and I am glad that I did. This is one model that really is better in the metal than photographs suggest. It's a pleasing addition to the small collection of early Corgi Toys that I am slowly building up, and is especially welcome as it is one that I never had as a child. More please!

Heureux

Bonjour, chaque livraison est un bonheur renouvelé, un peu d'enfance retrouvée

A small masterpiece!

I never owned such an early Corgi model as a kid. When it arrived it took me some time to appreciate it because it looked so "simple" compared to my other originals and CMC models from the sixties. The next day I looked at it again and - what can I say - I love it! It is just perfect and that colour is smashing.
