I received this model and on opening was very surprised and disappointed by the paint finish. In fact I emailed the model club as I assumed it was just my example that had missed its gloss coat. The reply explained that the originals in many cases had the matt finish and this is the finish that has been chosen for the re-issue. I have never seen an original with anything other than a gloss finish and reading other reviews I am not alone. This is the first model that has not met expectations, everything to date has been exceptional.
The blue Corgi-Buick Riviera re-issue looks good at a wild coastscene too.
