Oh dear - rather like CMC's yellow submarine release, it looks like the Corgi 'cheap-makers' have been at the helm on this one again. Plastic base plate, plastic wheels, plastic bonnet (with chrome sticker applied - yes, really!) horrible greenish painted radiator, coach lamps, exhaust and windscreen (instead of gold plated). Even the box is poorly printed, with incorrect size/layout, washed out images and wrongly coloured wings - the stripes should be orange, not yellow. In fact, I doubt it legally qualifies as a 'die cast' model? Plastic cast perhaps? It is not what I (and I suspect many other members) expected from CMC and another missed opportunity. 266 is one of Corgi's most iconic models, so what on earth were CMC thinking of - apart from profit margins? As the period 1968 school reports would say, 'D+' must try harder..
